RD director running for Kelowna council

Kevin Kraft is officially launching his campaign for Kelowna City Council, saying he wants to give back to the community that has given his family so much.

A current Regional District Director for the East Electoral Area, Kraft said his experience as a firefighter, teacher, farmer, business owner and volunteer has given him a broad understanding of the community.

Kraft said his campaign will focus on responsible growth, strong communities and protecting Kelowna’s long-term future.

“Kelowna is growing, and we have an opportunity to make thoughtful decisions about what comes next,” Kraft said, in part, in a media release. “We can build the infrastructure and services a growing city needs while protecting our neighbourhoods, local businesses, agricultural lands and the sense of community that makes Kelowna home.”
