Kelowna’s Grant Shephard rejoins Vancouver Bandits

The Vancouver Bandits have signed Kelowna native Grant Shephard for the remainder of the 2026 Canadian Elite Basketball League season.
The six-foot-10 forward returns to the Bandits for a fourth stint with the club after previous appearances in 2019, 2023 and 2025.
Shephard most recently played in Romania with CSB Corona Brasov and has also spent time professionally in Portugal, Estonia and Sweden.
Last season with Vancouver, Shephard averaged 3.7 points and 2.3 rebounds in six games while shooting .833 from the field.
Shephard won back-to-back U Sports national championships with Carleton University in 2022 and 2023 and also captured gold with Canada at the 2017 FIBA U19 World Cup.
The Bandits host the Saskatoon Mamba at Prospera Place in Kelowna on June 6 as part of Kelowna HOOPFEST.
