West Kelowna RCMP are looking for a suspect believed to be connected to three suspicious fires set early Saturday morning.
Police say firefighters were called around 4:25 a.m. July 18 after a portable toilet caught fire at a park in the 3100-block of Shannon Lake Road. The flames spread to a nearby structure before being brought under control.
Investigators later learned a gazebo in the same park had also been set on fire. Witnesses reported seeing a suspicious man leaving the area, described as tall, wearing dark clothing and having unusual-looking hair.
A short time later, another fire was reported near Old Okanagan Highway. Police believe the grass fire was also intentionally set and say all three incidents are connected.
West Kelowna RCMP are asking anyone with information to contact police and reference file 2026-45206.
