A stretch of Boucherie Road in West Kelowna will be closed Thursday evening as crews carry out fall maintenance along the popular Wine Route.
The city says the closure will run from 6 p.m. to 11 p.m. on Oct. 15, between Hayman and Stuart roads.
Work will include mowing, trimming, weeding, pruning trees, maintaining light poles, clearing debris and street sweeping.
The closure will affect the road, bike lanes and sidewalks, with access restricted to motorists, cyclists and pedestrians. Emergency vehicles, residents living in the immediate area and transit services will be accommodated.
Motorists are being asked to use Highway 97 and Hudson Road as detour routes, follow traffic control signs and observe posted speed limits through work zones.
