Strong winds and falling snow levels are expected across the Okanagan and Central Interior on Saturday as a cold front moves through B.C.
Environment Canada says wind gusts could reach 60 to 80 km/h, with the potential for fallen branches and localized power outages.
Snow levels are also expected to drop, raising the risk of slippery conditions on higher-elevation highway passes, including the Okanagan Connector between Kelowna and Merritt.
Drivers of high-profile vehicles are urged to use caution in strong winds, and motorists should be prepared for changing conditions on mountain highways.
The cold front will bring colder, unstable air, with scattered showers, small hail and a risk of thunderstorms possible across parts of the Central Interior.
Environment Canada warns mountain weather can change quickly, creating hazardous driving conditions.
